Amazing how many other animals feed off the Red Naped Sapsucker (woodpecker) taps into our willow bushes: Red Squirrels, hornets, wasps, butterflies, and humming birds have all come in for sweet treats.

These are two of three fledglings a pair of Red Naped Sapsuckers (woodpeckers) are feeding from the willow trees just behind our outdoor kitchen at our seasonal camp. The young are so funny learning how to fly. The bird life out in the Alberta foothills is wonderful.
